Glasgow School of Ballet follows the Royal Academy of Dance syllabus. The RAD is the world's most recognised organisation and association worldwide. It is a classical ballet syllabus but as of 2010 the new syllabus has a neo-classical twist challenging the pupils to push themselves beyond the comfortable.
The Royal Academy of Dance is recognised and affiliated with the SQA. The RAD exams that the pupils pass are recognised and awarded with an SQA qualification.
We also offer vocational classes in RAD ballet and ISTD modern. These classes are for pupils who show exceptional talent or who wish to pursue a career in dance.
All pupils at Glasgow School of Ballet sit a Royal Academy of Dance ballet exam annually. We have exams running in 2 sessions per year. Glasgow School of Ballet has 100% pass rate in graded exams.
There are ballet classes suitable for boys and girls from 3years+ and no previous dance experience is necessary.
